Playing Sims3 - Basic Notes - The Look

The first pictures from the game last spring did scare some of us - how ugly can sims be? It is fun with different looking sims, but they dont all have to be ugly..

Dont be scared. There are fantastic possibilities in Sims3 to make both pretty and interesting sims, and get them to breed and have even more interesting sims be born-in-game.

You do need some mods, i e skin default replacements and eye replacements. There are already several to download - I use:

Aikea Guineas Replacement skins, complete for all ages, both body and faces

Smaller Eyes by HP at MTS - because I don't like the cartoonish big sim eyes.

And hairs, where to find them? There is a flood of hairs coming now, many converted from Sims2 hairs, with different results, both good and bad. My advise is to check the hair first when you download it, preferrably both in CAS and in game, and decide whether to keep it or not. Be picky. Soon you will have 100's if not 1000's of hair to pick from, I promise.
