Villagers

Some pictures from the rural Windle life:

Wedding
When Olivia Windleton married, there was a tragedy at the wedding, one of the old villagers (NPC) died and created sadness. But the wedding was still a success!

Olivia Windletons Wedding
Olivia married Arthur Westby, a marriage her parents weren't that happy about - a noble mans daughter marrying a farmer.. on the other hand, this way she could stay close to home. Her father is now planning to give Arthur a bigger and better farm.

Working on the fields
Working on the fields by the river.

Playing in the Orchard
Playing guitar is very popular in Windle - in a sim time without TV:s or stereos. Everywhere where sims gather or work, someone takes out the guitar and play.

Playing
Fishing In Village
The pond in the middle of the village is a popular fishing spot.

Whoa! You already have so many inhabitants! It of course helps that they don't have to be played one by one anymore. :) They look great and quite medieval, by the way - good job. I also like how you incorporated the guitar. So how are you finding the medieval Sim life in this dynamic environment? How do you handle it? Do you like it, or do you prefer TS2? Is it really (as I'd hoped) like walking through an actual medieval village and *being* there?

The guitar is of course the new "steam punk" guitar from the EA Store, but I think it could be a medieval kind of guitar, coudn't it? At least it looks older and better than the leopard patterned one that one of my sims caught when fishing.. Yes I love the dynamic hood. I don't play a strict rotation as I did in S2 Windlebridge - I play the Windleton family MOSTLY, and then jump around a bit and redress sims that grew up and fix some stuff. I put each family to work on the community lot fields for a day or two and they sell the produce to the store, then send the money to the Windleton family with the help of Twallans Super Computer. I started with 7 families, consisting of 2 sims or in one case 3 sims (a mother with two teen daughters), now after 14 sim weeks I have 65 villagers (NPC service sims not counted). Yes the village is nice to walk around in, and as I kept the houses close to each other, its great to see whats going on around them and on the community lots. Medieval feeling.. yes, I am getting there. My next project is to add an Inn/Pub for them to gather in.

I'm really amazed about what you can do with this game. I wish I were more patient. But I don't like having too much hacks. If only EA had created a Sims2/Sims3 game for middle age ! A lot of people would have played it. Your pictures are amazing, as usual !

Everything looks awesome! I'm surprised you were able to get such a medieval feel already, and I can't wait to see how this develops as more CC comes out. Also, for some reason, I can't email you through my regular email, so I had to send you one through simbology ( I did this a few days ago). Anyway, I'll definately keep checking this site out, because everything looks awesome!

The possibilities in Create-A-Style are the key - almost any piece of clothing or furniture can get a mediveal "make-over". And as more and more CC comes out, of course it will be even easier. I also have high hopes for the upcoming expansion. Egypt - that MUST mean some old stuff I can use. And France also. Can't be all modern, can it? Must have some old fashioned beautiful things in it. (BTW Gab, I saw your site, dont understand everything but it looks great!) Dark Author, ty :)
