Windle Castle Town - Overview and pics

Categories: Older Windle
I wanted to build a bigger castle, with a small Old Town inside, as a follow up on my old Windleport project for Sims2. I picked the Industrial part of Riverview, as the suitable spot.
This is how it looks in the original Riverview:
Original Industrial Part, Riverview

This is how I recreated it, as a Castle Town:

The Stadium is replaced by a Tournament Field. Two of the lots are set as Residence, the rest as Community. I have used Melissas new rabbit holes (small replacements).
Here are some more pics from the lots:

The Castle has thick walls for protection against the enemy.

This house can be used as a residence for a prominent sim.

It looks AMAZING!!! Gosh, I love how you've set this up. The houses look so adorable and quaint and pretty.. And yet it is green. Your pictures always make me want to build something like this myself, even though I already have so many other projects and don't like TS3 *that* much. And you even uploaded all the lots.. It would be too simple.. :D I really like how you share all the lots you've built, I used to stare at your pictures and wish I could build a town like Windleport. I'm guessing you couldn't share the TS2 lots back then, because you'd used a private testing version of the LotAdjuster, huh? Too bad..

Yeah - too many of the Windleport lots were made with that beta version, and I promised not to share lots made with it. They were also HEAVY with custom content, and big.. Now we will get the CAW (Create-A-World) in December and I can't wait - wil be really great to be able to make really customized hoods with dirt roads and what not.. (drools)

I am so glad to see how you modified the industrial area. I have been following your blog and trying to create my own town but some of the large community areas are so troublesome. Now I see how you can link together separate lots to look like one big lot, LOVE IT. I heard that they're already working on a custom neighborhood creator. Can't wait till I see what you do with that!

Oh, I can't wait for the CAW - I am already drawing maps, lol. It looks VERY promising.
