This is the first residence for the Windletons, when Windle Village was founded. Since then the main branch of the family has moved to the newer Windle Hall on the hill, but the Longhouse is still the main building for the farming in the Village. (The current inhabitant is a nephew of Sir Alarick.)
The big longhouse is built in a very old fashioned way with an open hall, with fireplaces in the middle and the ends. On one side there is a bed where the owner and his wife slept, and on the other the dining hall, for dinners and for important meetings. In the lof there are more sleeping places and by the walls.
This house has no basement.
